New DD-WRT Shop Options
Upon request we did integrate the shipping option "cash on delivery" into the order processing for people who feel uncomfortable by sending money ahead of the delivery of the hardware items.
Because lots of people are often struggeling with selecting the matching items for an outdoor access point we have enabled a custom configurator that assists with this task. It can be found in the product categories menu under "complete systems".
DD-WRT httpd vulnerability (milw0rm.com report)
As reported at www.miw0rm.com there is a vulnerability in the http-server for the DD-WRT management GUI that can be used for execution of an exploit to gain control over the router.
EOC-5610 & EAP-3660 available in the Shop
The EnGenius EOC-5610 and EAP-3660 routers are now available pre-flashed with DD-WRT in the DD-WRT Shop. While the EOC-5610 offers a high power 2.4GHz / 5GHz radio, an internal antenna for 2.4GHz (5dbi) / 5GHz (13dbi) and two separate external antenna connectors for both frequency ranges the EAP-3660 is perfectly suited for unobstrusive indoor placement charged via PoE.Router Worm psyb0t
In the last days several news blogs were publishing information about "psyb0t", a worm that infects routers instead of PCs. Often the authors are suggesting that also alternative router firmwares like DD-WRT might be affected. At the current state of our investigation of the issue we can tell that DD-WRT is not vulnerable by default, only when WAN management is enabled there is a chance to attack the router.
