with all builds before 29002 free memory was ~11MB
after 6h running 29048 on this router free memory is now ~3MB. At the moment I see 2.2MB free. what's on?
router rebooted itself after ~10h uptime.
did you try to reset ?
no, it was a web-gui upgrade without reset.
the infopage shows, that the values if free and used memory are in permanent "movement" without doing anything. As far as I remenber, there was more "silence" at the memory-values when looking at the infopage for a while with builds before 29002.
except this the performance is fine.
Router Model: Netgear WNDR4300v1
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r29048 std (02/05/16)
Kernel Version: Linux 3.18.26 #8783 Fri Feb 5 03:26:08 CET 2016 mips
Status: OK
Reset: NO
Errors: NO (new ones), so far
Did several speedtests (Wired NAS FTP over WAN, 5Ghz Wireless FTP to NAS) and speeds are comparable to r28882 (tiny bit less fast) and stable (at least for the first 30 minutes). _________________ Netgear WNDR4300v1 DD-WRT v3.0 BS r29837 | Netgear R6400 DD-WRT v3.0 KB r33525M | Tickets: 5429 IPv4 & IPv6-PD | ProFTP & Samba to USB thumb | DNSMasq DHCPv6 | Pi-Hole on RasPi
ok, should do it, but don't have the time at the moment to setup everything as it was before.
You can backup your configuration on the Administration tab. When you reset you can upload it back.
did a 30-reset and uploaded the config (I was not sure, if this would not restore the state before reset). will report, if the memory run out and/or self reboot happen again.
what I can say now is, that free mem is about 8-9MB. with builds before 29002 it was about 11-12MB with the same config. But maybe this has good reasons. Performance is good so far.
To replicate: add some MAC to list and click save, wait for pop-up to reload
Aside from these issues seems to be working OK on the limited test set ran at this time _________________ Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH - Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r29440 std (04/11/16)

WebUI upgrade from build 26653. No reset, no clear, no reboot (other than during installation), no nothing.
With r26653 down/up speeds were consistently in ~200/20 Mb/s neighborhood.
With r29048 speeds are 100-120/20 Mb/s...
r26653 was quite a while ago. Maybe you could try some builds in between.
I'm thinking it might help us gauge whether this is a problem with this build or just a general gradual slowdown as extra features and bug fixes are added over time.

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking along the same lines and was just about to begin a bifurcation search... Wait a minute... Weren't there some changes to QoS in the past year???
My QoS settings probably still need some improvement, but I have regained most of my WAN performance and slayed the ensuing bufferbloat problem. Not that I did anything clever --- I just made some better selections from the available options --- hats off the the developers! Thanks for the great software.

TL/DR: QoS behavior has changed since April 2015.
qos is again springing up with problems triple the rate than theyre getting fixed, dupe rules getting entered or none at all, L7/ndpi broken, port based mysteriously not working etc.. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)
