Did a search on the board and I cant seem to find any recent information on this. I want to configure dual WAN with one of the WAN being VPN to another site. are there any documentation?

Out of curiosity, is there any configuration that have to be performed on the computers? How is it determined at the router if the traffic is directed to WAN1 or WAN2?

Just to understand you in the right way, you have two lines (DSL or fiber or 4G or ...) connected to your router?
What kind of router do you use?

I have 2 Asus rt-n66u routers that I want to perform a site to site.

We have 2 different ISP lines; 1 12 down/2 up, 2 5 down/5 up. I only want the VPN to be attached to the 5/5 line.

Well, you have a Asus rt-n66u router on the one site with 12 down / 2 up and another Asus rt-n66u router on the other site with 5 down / 5 up, right?

Now you want to establish a VPN site to site connection between both sites and the VPN server service should be run on the 5 down / 5 up site, right?

If this is your objective you can simply use the standard configuration method on the Web-Interface on both sites.
I don't see any dual WAN circumstances if you don't want to connect one of your Asus rt-n66u to both lines simultaneously.

Okay last chance for me.

You have on the on side a Asus rt-n66u router connected to a 40/5 line (VPN server side) and on the other side a Asus rt-n66u conneted to two lines (12/2 and 5/5) (VPN client side), right?

And now you want to establish the VPN connection on the Asus -rt-n66u (client side) to the ohter Asus (server side) passing the 5/5 line, right?

In this case you have to configure a policy based routing that packages with the destination IP of the Asus router on server side has to pass the gateway of the 5/5 line.

when setting this up, only consider the vpn tunnel that originates from one router to the other. Forget about the clients.
