Apparently one person thinks this is a router specific question which I feel it's not but w/e... I just need an answer and suspect this can apply to any router with the Wireless Security tab...

-------

Ok, so I have the Netgear WNDR4500. Everythings running fine.

No noob mistakes yet as I have a basic understanding of what I'm doing.

Anyway, I took images of all the pertinent setting pages from the Netget factory based FW. Well, right now I'm working on the wireless security part and have a question.

For the Netgear based FW the encryption was WPA2-PSK [AES].

What would it be in the dd-wrt security area as there are four different WPA2 options ?

WPA2 Personal
WPA2 Enterprise
WPA2 Personal Mixed
WPA2 Enterprise Mixed

I clicked the "more" thing under help and this is what it seems I need to use...

Code:
WPA2 Personal Mixed
This mode allows for mixing WPA2 and WPA clients. If only some of your clients support WPA2 mode, then you should choose WPA2 Mixed. For maximum interoperability, you should choose WPA2 Mixed/TKIP+AES.

But look at the sentence at the end "for maximum...".

There is no option of WPA2 Mixed/TKIP+AES.

So ya, little confused as to what's missing. For all I know maybe I just don't have the right FW for my router as I went with what's listed here for my V1 WNDR4500 which the router shows as Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (02/04/15).

Ty for your time.

It would be under WPA2 Personal. Once you hit Save or Apply, more options will pop up.

Use AES only, no TKİP.
