|
Hi everyone !
I'm a frequent user of DD-WRT that I employ for WiFi access purpose, but today I'm looking for a router after my client's TP-Link TL-ER6020 crashed (only after some weeks of use) and as i was encountering a conflict anyway because of my two WANs directing to the same subnet (TP-Link limitation ??), I envisage now to use a DD-WRT router to replace it.
I first tried to use a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND (ver 2.1), but I cannot manage VLANs to configure 2 WANs with it, so my question is :
Considering I need a router with 2 WANs (with failover between two DSL modems), NAT management, firewall and VPN access, what would be the most efficient and cost effective solution in my case ?
Do you have any suggestion about hardware choice and/or configuration ? I have a couple of WRT54 I'd love to give a second life to, and I'm sure they'd do the job great, but wouldn't they be obsolete ? I don't want to limit my client's bandwidth...
Thanks a lot for your time |
