The problem is, my router is no longer listed in the available networks shown in the networks tab. How do I access the router with tftp so that I can load the micro firmware onto it?
I have attempted to use TFTP anyway - with the instructions in step 3:
Quote:
Enter "tftp -i 192.168.1.1 put dd-wrt.v24_micro_generic.bin" on your local Windows console and press enter.
however, without a connection to the router the attempt fails.

Does that mean you are trying to do this over wifi, and not a wired connection? _________________ R7000 Nighthawk - DD-WRT v3.0-r50308

I have it connected via LAN right now, but I can't "see" the router. When I put in the 192.168.1.100 into TFTP it still fails.
Did you disable your wireless (just in case) and set your 1) IP address, 2) subnet mask, 3) default gateway and 4) DNS server on the computer's LAN, not WLAN adapter?
Also, you said that when you put in "192.168.1.100" if fails on TFTP. Shouldn't it be 192.168.1.1? Are you able to ping 192.168.1.1? _________________ R7000 Nighthawk - DD-WRT v3.0-r50308

Go back and repeat the last step that worked. You might have botched something. I don't know why you are preoccupied with a wireless signal. There is no firmware on your router. There will be no wireless anything. You can only do this with a cable. If you tried to do it any other way, you likely screwed things up rather badly. _________________ SIG:

You have a 100% ping loss. What, exactly, did you do? _________________ SIG:
