Trying to figure out how to update the firmware on an airrouter-HP from the command line

normal process on a EA6900 would be

wget -P /tmp http://binlocation/firmwarefile.bin

then do a mtd -r write /tmp/firmwarefile.bin linux

This does work on a ea6900, however on a airrouter it writes the bin, reboots then bricks... It is recoverable via emergency TFTP, however wondering if anyone has upgrade a ubiquiti device via the command line.

So for the air router-HP example there is 2 bins,

the airrouter-webflash-upgrade.bin

and AR-DD-WRT.bin which is master image

which once should you write, I have tried

mtd write /tmp/airrouter-webflash-upgrade.bin linux

it writes it, I reboot and brick, however it is easy to recover, I can try

mtd write /tmp/AR-DD-WRT.bin linux

anything I may be missing?
