flashed on my units (740ndV4 and 842ndV2)... didn't had much time to test is last night, but there is strange behaviour with tx power... on 740 is stucked at 13dBm, on 842 15dBm? Of course with Canada, channel 6... iw list shows the same. Odd thing is that wifi works never better. Signal strenght on GUI shows weak signals -70 -75 but wifi is very fast. No dropouts, http pages goes quickly... Enyone esle has same results?

Router Model: TP-Link WDR4300 v1.1
Status: Working
Reset: No
Errors: Minor

Updated via GUI from 24160. Acc to status page WLAN (2,4GHz) only 17dB with 22 selected. No other problems so far (overnight).

PS: What Gui changes? I cannot see changes...

Oh lord, I thought it was just me! Something is up with the TX Power, no matter what I do it will not change and it is no longer covering the same area that it did with an older version of the firmware. Right now I can only test it on the Buffalo but I'm curious to see if it's affecting the TP-Links as well.

madwifi on my wndr3700 v1 reported 22dbm for 2.4ghz, since switch to ath9k its always 17dbm..but one other user's went to 20dbm, same version, same reg domain, same build (at the time)..

Model : NetGear WNDR3700v4
Build : r25203
Issue : Anyone else having issues with USB Storage Support on the newer builds? I tried a 30/30/30 reset after flash but didnt help. It just wont see my 32GB SanDisk Cruzer mini. Older builds worked just fine.

Router Model: Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH V1
Status: OK
Reset: No
Errors: Certain options are missing from the gui.
1.Setup->ipv6 has no options
2.Services->USB has no options
3.Services->NAS has ftp missing
4.Administration->Management only has option for router gui and CIFS.

I have already reverted back to stock buffalo firmware and flashed to build 25203 but these options are still missing.

You need a stripped version of the original firm (without bootloader). Unfortunaly woxy doesn't mention it.

tp-link can be debricked relatively easy with a usb-to-serial cable, like CA-42, and some soldering skills.

You always need to have an serial cable lying around when you play with firmware.

Update:

Router Model: TP-Link WDR4300 v1.1
Status: Working except of...
Reset: No
Errors: Yes

Updated via GUI from 24160. Acc to status page WLAN (2,4GHz) only 17dB with 22 selected. Come back from work today, everything ok, Went to cellar (out of wlan range thats not shorter than normal regardless of the indicated 17dB), come back and unable to reconnct to WLAN. SSID is visible but no connection possible. Remind me that i had the same problem with a 25xxx version before and decided (again) to fall back and stick at 24160. Browsed to GUI and was unable to access admin section. Tried to restart router, tried with Chrome and IE, tried on other PCs, many router restarts (pulled power) and after 30 minutes i was able to reach admin section and downgradet to 24160

I am wondering why I can't find Asia/Tehran (UTC+3.30) in time zone section ?!

I believe i read in one of the timelines a removal of the these said options i hope it is temporary Sad other than that this router is my new ap and has been solid 3 whole days heavy traffic Smile

Updated via GUI from firmware version 21061.

Router Model: TL-WDR4300 v1
Status: OK, working
Reset: Yes, 30/30/30 before and after
Errors: TX power stays on 17 dBm when setting TX power to 20 dBm and when I use Netherlands as regulatory domain. Canada as regulatory domain works fine.

Router Model: TP-Link WR1043ND V2
Status: Works
Reset: No
Errors:
1. TX Power option in advanced wireless settings is missing.
2. Despite setting the DNS server to another IP in all the places (DHCP DNS, local DNS, since I have a separate DNS server running in my network) the DHCP only provides router's IP as the DNS IP.
3. Also lack of support for SNMP is a major bummer.
