Hi
I have question
I have two Linksys wrt54gs ver 1
First wrt54gs is "AP" ip 192.168.1.1
Second wrt54gs is "client" ip 192.168.2.1
Internet is ok from AP to the client
But I want that the client router wrt54gs will not see the "lan" and the "ip's" of the "AP" router
I just want that will be internet on the Second wrt54gs router "client"
For now if I connect to the Second wrt54gs router "client" and put the ip on IE of the my first AP I get access to it, and also to all the devices that on the AP router
How can I do it please?
I don't want that second router will see the first router at all
I want only "internet" on the second router
Thanks

But what virtual interface will give me?
Is the virtual interface can be separate with only internet? With no access to the first router?

2. Second router that connect wired to the primary router, and connect wireless to the third router that need to be only with internet
3. Third router that need to be only with internet (connect wireless to the second router)
So can i do the separate wlan on the connection between the second to the third? And the third will be can connect also with wired to the gusted and still be separate?
thanks

* State your build number, version and build date. Do not state "I am using the latest build".
* Clearly explain what you have done and what happened, or what you want to do (e.g. network drawings). Remember that we are not there to see what is happening, so you have to describe it in detail. But no stories of life plz.
* Post screen shots of the relevant pages of the dd-wrt web-interface. It will help to clarify your issue.
That said - The VLAN-Configuration can be used as a basic function for linking two Routers over LAN (you don't need WiFi for that at all). However something similar is also used behind the scenes for Wireless Connections with the specific Client Modes.
For Wireless Linking of two Routers there are specific Client Modes which are different to that basic functionality.
i will read this and try all over
and if i dont get it i will make network drawing
thanks to all

p.s.
Why there is no just one button to make
Guest network like ASUS rt-ac66u has?
Work in second on the stock fw
dd-wrt team please make this option
Thanks

maybe i will use the stok fw of asus rt-ac66u to the guest option and from here i will move this share internet to my other AP with dd-wrt so it will be guest only with no problem
until dd-wrt will have guest wireless/wird on "push button option"
