Hello,
I haven't upgraded my firmware since first flashed it back years ago. I am wanting to upgrade it but it wont take the upgrade, it keeps the current firmware. Below is what I am running and trying to install. Any help on why the update wont work would be helpful
Thanks

Was that a typo; you're using k2.6 mega 21061 and that's one of the two you tried to upgrade? How are you using this router? I would suggest trying k3x 33006 or 33215, and using SFE.
That was my screw up., was doing this in a rush and assumed the new update since it was 2017 update was new. But it was the same.
What do you mean 'new update'? If you are referring to the Router Database, don't use that; please read the Peacock announcement. Try the aforementioned builds. _________________ #NAT/SFE/CTF: limited speed w/ DD#Repeater issues#DD-WRT info: FAQ, Builds, Types, Modes, Changes, Demo#

If for some reason after the install you cannot contact the router unplug it for 27 seconds
then power on and you should be fine after it fully boots up.
SFE (shortcut forwarding engine) is on main setup page. Fairly new feature in dd-wrt. Might want to use it
with the E1200v2 if you have an internet connection faster than 50 Mbps ... if not then I wouldn't bother with it.
NOTE: If using QOS, SFE is automatically turned off.
since I already have a tangled mess of routers active this is done using iperf3 on the WNDR3700v4 as
a WAP @ 192.168.1.2 with E1200v2 gateway at 192.168.1.1 to an EA8500 WAP on main network at 10.72.29.52
EDIT:
The E1200v2 will do 90+ across the WAN with any old k2.6 build but needs SFE on K3.x builds to do it.
Also the newer k3.x builds will allow you to have working features of dd-wrt that older k26 builds don't have or they are broken ...
EDIT again:
Just so there in NO confusion:
If you have SFE enabled and also turn on QOS the SFE module is disabled but on the main setup page in the GUI it
will still show as enabled ...but it's lyin'
SFE only works when QOS is disabled --- they may sort that out in the future.

Thanks for that testing mrjcd
@afmiller, also to make clear; SFE is only available on kernel 3.10 (which broadcom_K3X builds use) and higher, in builds 33006 and newer. At this time though, 33215 is the only other one to consider until things are fixed post-33345. _________________ #NAT/SFE/CTF: limited speed w/ DD#Repeater issues#DD-WRT info: FAQ, Builds, Types, Modes, Changes, Demo#
