This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 33525_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless.
If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

1. (redhawk0) K3X builds still too big for (most*) 8 MB flash routers: http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/5936
* E1200v2 and E1500 work since they have 64KB more (7872 KB total); so should E900 and E800 (untested)
I'll try on my E1500 tonight.
Edit...you beat me Razz

Thanks redhawk! Btw, please also advise BS/Kong on these, if not aware, to help reduce size:
1. http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/5999 (tatsuya46) possible flash space saver [regards help files and samba]
2. http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/6003 (Mile-Lile) include drill (ldns) instead of nslookup (12kb difference)

Asus rt-n13U V1

Upgraded from V3.0 r31024, did not reset router before nor after update.

Everything seems to work just fine!

However i seem to have dropped the USB stick i had mounted as /opt and some other paths (/mnt and /jffs i belive).
The mount path fields under Services/USB are gone too..
(it might be my memory that´s failing tho, just as likely...)

I used ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2017/10-17-2017-r33525/asus-rtn13u/Asus-RTN13U-webflash.bin

I probably used some "non-standard" distro to enable my usb storage some months ago, havent the faintest idea of exactly what distro, exept that it was "dd-wrt", r31024.

But that´s not a dealbreaker for me, the number one priority is to close the krack!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you VERY much for this VERY swift security fix, you guys (and gals?) are the best!
..Apple still havent dropped a patch for their wifi products and they´re a multi-billion-dollar enterprise..
And you guys are WAY ahead of that dinosaur!!! Very Happy

flashed broadcom_K3X build:

dd-wrt.v24-33525_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e4200.bin 17-Oct-2017 11:38 filesize in byte 8000512
--> flash via WebUi

--> up and running even with this size

Sysinfo show
Router-ModellLinksys E4200
Firmware-Version DD-WRT v3.0-r33525 mega (10/17/17)
Kernel VersionLinux 3.10.107 #16316 Tue Oct 17 10:35:29 CEST 2017 mips
CPU-ModellBroadcom BCM4716 chip rev 1

Maybe because the E4200 has a 16MB flash chip

DD-wrt WIKI tec. specs

CPU Broadcom BCM4718
CPU Speed 480 MHz
Flash ROM 16 MB -->!!
Macronix MX25L12845E

So that mean that on any 8MB (e3000 e.g) this may not work, but for an E4200 V1 this build works.

:D fix for CVE-2017-13080 should included :D

After upgrade and doing a factory reset. The 2nd WiFi on my ASUS AC66U still say 2.4ghz and no 5ghz

And none of my 5ghz clients are UNABLE to connect when set to 5ghz Only

[/img]

EDIT: corrected from ABLE to UNABLE

The router or clients are set to '5GHz only'? If the router, try using NA-Mixed mode.

Some 8MB routers (like the E1500, E1200v2, E900, and E800) have 8060928 bytes flash (7872 KB), and should also work, as with 33492.

My bad, I meant UNABLE. None of the client set to 5GHZ can connect to the router, only if they are set to 2.4ghz

plus no NA-Mix or anything to do with AC
