the ixp base firmware(070118) problem

I installed oon my ixp425 base target board. The linux has booted.

But i can not use root/admin to login.

just got :

DD-WRT v24 std (c) 2007 NewMedia-NET GmbH
Release: 01/18/07 (SVN revision: 5629)

DD-WRT login: root
Login incorrect
DD-WRT v24 std (c) 2007 NewMedia-NET GmbH
Release: 01/18/07 (SVN revision: 5629)

even not password prompt for me to input.

anyone know this problem ?

I also have this problem on the latest firmware! (2-12-2007)
Does anyone have a solution?

My board is GW2348-4.

Hi,

I am also facing the same problem of logging in after a successful boot.
I tried with three firmware versions ,

01-09-2007
02-12-2007
02-15-2007

on my avila board.

The images boot absolutely fine without problem.

But I am not able to log in.

It does not accept root as the login name.

Anybody out there could help me out, please..

are you using a registered version ?

the unregistered version has commandline access disabled.

I am sorry, but I am not sure whether it is a registered version or not. I searched in the forum
but did not get a detailed explanation for "registered image".

I downloaded the image from the following path,

http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/beta releases/avila gateworks builds/02-15-2007

I have no experience in Avila build but after looking into the download section i don't see a registered and free version to download.There is only 1 version available for download.
Anyway i have ordered some board from Avila and when they arrives i will be eager to port DD-WRT onto it .

By the way Saurav Nice to see another from India in this Forum.

There are 10 firmware versions (for avila) available for download, & I tried almost all the versions. But it seems logins are disabled.

Is there any registered, free firmware for avila boards available?

I don't see any free and registered version for Avila Build.
Only gateworx-firmware-squashfs.bin is available so i don't think that it is the problem of the free and registered version.

Wait for BS to comment on this thread.

there is no free version for the avila board. just connect with the webinterface. the login is disabled until you registered the unit
