I've been thinking about purchasing the ASUS RT-ACRH13. It has a quad core processor (they don't specify which one) and supports MU-MIMO for only $69.99. I haven't found anything else that comes close at this price. The one thing holding me back is the lack of DD-WRT support. Is anyone able to speculate if there will be support for DD-WRT in the foreseeable future?

It's similar to AC58U: https://wikidevi.com/wiki/ASUS_RT-AC58U

CPU: Qualcomm Atheros IPQ4028 (628 MHz, 4 cores)

For that price though... 2x2 AC1300 (400 + 867 Mbps), USB 3.0, quad core, 128MB flash - not bad at all.

Thank you for the reply. I checked https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices but I do not see model AC58U. Should I assume that it is not compatible with DD-WRT?

I know this is an older post, but this router is $44.99 on Prime Day. Is there a reason this router still isn't supported by dd-wrt?

Another thread about this same router (which is an Atheros unit, not a Broadcom):

https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1073052

As best I understand it, a donated unit would be ideal, but at the very least a copy of the cfe bin and boot log would help.

GPL is handy too especially with the asuswrt models as they can get the toolchain and some good stuff http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/RT-AC58U/GPL_RT-AC58U_30043808228.zip however openwrt has add support https://git.openwrt.org/?p=openwrt/openwrt.git;a=commit;h=87c42101cfb001b4bd418d1201fa4d8c822dc77b again handy info

Yeah as OpenWrt says for the two Asus RT-AC58U / RT-ACRH13 but wont be surprised if the two GPLs have the same stuff.

Especially if hardware is identical. Only difference would probably be the model information in the source.
