|
Router Info:
My router is a Linksys N300.
FCC ID: Q87-E1200V2
I've installed DD-WRT using these instructions:
https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_E1200v2
Except I downloaded and installed r33555 from here: https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2017/10-20-2017-r33555/ (I basically used the r33555 versions of the two firmwares I was instructed to download in the instructions.)
The Problem:
I've set up my router to use No-ip.com to give it a memorable hostname so I can access it when I'm away from home. I've also enabled sshd, and I'm able to SSH in to my router. However, I'm unable to access my web interface using the same hostname.
So if I open a terminal and do "ssh root@<my hostname>" (without the quotes), it works.
But if I open a web browser and try:
http://<my hostname>
https://<my hostname>
http://<my hostname>:4340
https://<my hostname>:4340
None of them work for connecting to the web gui. Note I picked 4340 as the web gui port.
I've attached a screenshot of the relevant settings here.
I'm not sure if DD-WRT has disabled remote web access or it's just that my ISP (Suddenlink) is blocking web servers hosted on their network.
