Upgrading to a new Router? Which (DDWRT) Model would be capable of 120Mbit WAN? Actually I don't wanna buy a new Router, because the 610n isn't that old, but if it's the only possibility..

Hi there.

Is it possible to change a single LAN-Port to act like a WAN-Port, so I can get 120Mbit WAN?

I've read that the 610n v1 only has a 100Mbit WAN-Port, so I like to use one of the 4 GBit-Port ...

So I flashed my router WRT610 v1 with http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/eko/V24_TNG/svn13577/dd-wrt.v24-13577_big-wrt610n.bin

Everything seems to be working great...no down times so far ...

just updated to svn13491-snow-eko. damn fast.. surfing was lagging a bit before (r12966-BS). now the speed is equal to tomato on my wrt54gl or even faster. THX

I decided to buy something completely different Razz the WRT610N. Ok it's more expensive, but dd-wrt runs on it (still with some bugs, but it runs) and it has the better hardware ...

Shouldn’t be a problem. Just disable the WAN settings, set a LAN-IP in the same subnet and set the IP of your other router as gateway/DNS. in this case the new clients (xbox/pc) can also use the lin ...
