What is the current dd-wrt file out for a wrt54gs v7? Because the download section does not have one, or am I stuck until one comes out. I really don't want to flash back to the linksys firmware.
Oh and by the way the TFTP feature in vista has to be turned on in the Programs and Features section. I found that in the wiki Faq section. Nice job to he who wrote it!
But I tried the tftp command but getting a timeout error, any ideas?

Thanks!

Ok, Here is my modified HDM debrick tool, that I am calling Tjtag.
New additions include:
1. two new Flash Chips
2. four new processors
3. the addition of BSP for use with flash, erase, and backup
4. new switch /bypass - this switch can be used on AMD/Spansion style flash chips that support the unlock bypass command - it can decrease your flash time as much as 40-50%. It also disables polling.
EX. On my machine flashing a CFE to a Gv8 with EON 520 sec
230 sec using /bypass
The windows version is in the windows folder, linux in the linux folder, the windows version of this file was created using a cross compiler on Debian 4+, I have also included the source, in case you want to recompile it.
I would be interested in feedback from those of you that have had problems flashing the EON chip in the Gv8 - using the /bypass switch.
I will keep the latest revisions in this thread, until I have moved it to a download area.
As always, please leave feedback, its how we improve..
P.S> Special thanks to Eko, and all the members that helped me test.
I installed the cfe file, everything went well. It erased the 11 locations and flashed. But while trying to test for ping I got nothing no responce. So tftp was not an option. Is there anything else?

Thank you, but most of that work has to be credited to the Original Author HDM " Hairy Dairy Maid " I am using his application as base to build on and improve, suggetions are welcome. _________________ Want JTAG support - Donate a router

Well after giving up on trying ping the router last night I tried pluged into one of the 4 ports on the back and was able to ping that. But it would not upload the dd-wrt file. I also noticed that good old Mcafee uninstaller did not completely remove it's firewall so I'm trying to get that removed. I will continue to update with progress.
OK folks,
I have a wrt54gs v7 router and It's up and running. I was having trouble getting a ping response back. But I was in the wrong port, this is what I did:
I preformed a wholeflash to the router. All the lights are working as needed to be to operate normal. I plugged it into port 2, and then tried pinging. I got back the correct packets. So for some more giggles I opened up Internet Explorer and tried to access the Admin screen and was able to log onto the router (Linksys admin screen). Big giggles happening now . I'm thinking wow I back up again.
Is there something I need to check like maybe the mac address? If so what would or where can I get that?
Oh and by the way I had to add XP to my system (Dual Boot) because I could not get the Mcafee firewall uninstalled. Still waiting to get that information, and I have not tried the wireless part of the router yet. Will try when I get back to the hotel, at least I can talk to it again.
Note: I know why I was having trouble getting a ping I was connecting to the internet port . I set my IP as 192.168.1.2, then mask 255.255.255.0 dns 192.168.1.1. So my problems were user error But I still have not tested the wireless.
