I think it is not complicated and would improve greatly dd-wrt making it much more flexible.
Why do not you implement saving log on pendrive for devices that have a USB port?

I tried to apply it but without success. You can try and possibly tell me if it works? If some guru can apply corrections so that this method can work?

Not a bad idea!
For now, you could telnet into DD-WRT and copy the log to the USB flash drive? It's not automatic but it should work.
Or you could schedule a cron job to copy the log with overwrite to the USB drive periodically. You also could set up the output file name as something like "syslog-YYYYMMDD" for easy management.
BTW, I don't know whether DD-WRT has the logrotate daemon found in most Linux distributions. _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)
