|
Documentation states:
Quote: | For netmask, the IP address entries are applied in the order that they appear in your netmask table. Only the first match applies. Example, if you have an entry marking 192.168.1.10/32 as bulk, followed by an entry ABOVE IT, marking 192.168.1.0/24 (all 192.168.1.X) as premium, the traffic from 192.168.1.10 would be marked bulk because it was the first match. |
What in the world does "followed by an entry ABOVE IT" mean!?
(And regardless of what it means, there's got to be a better way to word that)
If Im looking at the netmask table in the web interface, is the priority top to bottom or bottom to top?
My gut says bottom to top, so that more specific rules can be added to the end of the list, making them easier to manipulate without having to completely re-do the list. But that wording is confusing. |
